How can Qigong Help You and Your Business?
by Myla Rosebaugh, Certified Qigong Instructor

• Does it matter what your daily routine is as long as you get to your work on time?
• Can you energize your business with exercise / energy movements?
•Will I have more energy for my life and my work if I could add this into my busy schedule?
• If I add this 30 minute Qigong practice to my schedule will it be worth my while to my life?
• What if I can’t stand for 30 minutes straight?

These are the questions that arise for some people looking at improving their immune system, stamina, muscle tone and general well being. It takes a little more energy to learn a new system and some are more worthwhile than others. This one is amazing. As we are learning more about what effects our bodies, and how they respond to energy movements in different ways we find what actually does work for us individually. Like the Petri dish the observer does have influence over the outcome. The idea of conserving energy and not spending it all to the very last drop is advantageous for a long life worth living.

We’ve all tried some sorts of exercise to benefit our body in some way. Some methods we liked and some were just too exhaustive. Still searching for what works for your body? This particular method of Qigong is fairly simple and not overly exerting yet energizing to your body. Many comment about how surprised they are that with these simple movements they notice they feel better, have more energy and don’t seem to succumb to the waves of illness that effect most everyone else. They feel it is well worth the daily or almost daily 30 minutes in these energy movements. It is well known that when you utilize the pulsing of your hearts’ blood flow through your body, your body is improved as it moves the cellular waste out (muscle movement) and brings in nutrition through your pulsating blood. Your blood is the lifeline of your body. This is also Biblical.

In Qigong relaxation is KEY. This may be so in our business life as well. Things go better with breath. Breath brings ease in our lives. Try to force something and it just doesn’t go or back fires on you.

So as you use Qigong energy movements in a relaxed state, the pulsations of blood through your body are given extra revitalization by this practice. It is noticeable in short order with this particular type of Qigong. If you utilize another form of Qigong you may have noticed this also. If you wish to give this type of Qigong a go, check out www.Qigong.com for an instructor teaching near you. It will be worth your while.
For your information I am listed under Dripping Springs although some classes may be held in Austin.

Practicing Qigong in a relaxed state brings great benefit to the whole body even in areas that have been blocked by such as digestion problems or headaches. As you practice this in a relaxed state you will notice your body feels better. No cortisol is released which happens in a stressed state. Thus digestion improves, sleep improves, there is a relaxation that allows one to be more peaceful and allows focus and concentration. There are a number of clinical studies showing these benefits as well as brain based microcirculation to prevent Alziheimer’s disease. There are just so many benefits to using this system and good reasons to add it to your life. OK, you do need to be able to stand for 30 or so minutes. You could do the movements sitting until your energy allowed you to start standing.

Even Dr. Oz on Oprah has spoken about the connection of longevity and Qigong. He also mentions the thousands of scientific studies on this practice reversing various diseases. A large database of these can be found at: www.QigongInstitute.org

Your practice of Qigong can assist you in keeping full of energy throughout your whole long day of dealing with people face to face or over the phone. It also strengthens your immune function. When you feel better you function better in your work. What goes around comes around.

Care for yourself so that you may care for others.
